damieninbred Given the gravity of the situation, it seems almost inappropriate to discuss the music contained within. Even if I hated the bands on this collection, I’d encourage you to purchase it. However, that’s not the case – not only is this an important cause, the music here is top notch. Bands from all over the DIY punk spectrum have donated tracks to this comp, from the well-known to the relatively obscure.

jg1972 Eighties era punker, here:

A critically important cause. Glad I had the opportunity to help with what I could in this manner because the music and bands on this comp are simply amazing! I haven't been able to describe punk music that way for decades. This sounds and feels like punk should - dirty, raw, DIY, angry , and passionate. Reminiscent of classic comps such as Peace/War, Dezerter, and Welcome to 1984.

It feels so good to discover new bands again and to fall back in love with punk rock!

handofdog Bought this because it’s for a great cause, but this is a great comp. Reminds me of some of the great comps that came out in the 80’s and 90’s.
Richard Watters

Richard Watters Good international comp with a couple different genres that all meld together well. Some recognizable names but also introduced to a good number of bands I hadn't heard. Favorite track: Another Religion, Another War.

People around you, unconsciously supporting greed, oppression and destruction of our earth. Worshiping the lifestyles of careless leaders and figure heads, who cause this disgusting spread of no thought and no for sight, and no empathy of any kind. Mankind has reached its ultimate conclusion Mass Consumerism into Oblivion Lost in the dark and all of their confusion. Blank minds manmade, too caught in their illusion. Mass consumerism into Oblivion Hoping for man's metamorphosis Take this pain from our worlds chest Rip up the concrete and let our earth breath Plant ideas and flowers to clean up this mess, our future is decided by the action we take now. Mass consumerism into Oblivion People around you, blindly conforming to society's standards of life and being, they're making trash, pollution spews from man. Stop the cycle of consuming and consuming. Make life about more then the economy booming. Caring and kindness and loving your fellow man. Mass consumerism into Oblivion

Disc of sun in the belching smoke Blazing huts where children choke Burning flesh and blackened blood Charred and blistered like smouldering wood O brother, o brother did you weep O brother, o brother can you sleep Wall-eyed moon in the wounded night Touching poisoned fields with blight Showing the ditch where the dead girl lies Courted by ants and hungry flies O brother, o brother did you weep O brother, o brother can you sleep Scream of pain in the morning breeze Thunder of bombs among the olive trees Hymn of rubble and powdered stone Anguished flesh and splintered bone O brother, o brother did you weep O brother, how can you sleep? Programmed war, efficiency team Death brings dollars to the war machine People trapped between imaginary lines The total destruction of Palestine Oh brother, have you got no shame? Oy eicha, they're killing in my name

A window that I keep closed, I'm afraid of you I’ve tried so hard to hide it Dust accumulated throughout the years I look through fogged windows I don't see you, but I feel your presence With the slightest misstep, it's the end of me A few years ago, in constant disagreement Walls cracking and I suffocate A few years ago, in constant disagreement Walls cracking, and I suffocate A past that draws me in, from the depths of my shelter A few years ago, in constant disagreement Walls cracking and I suffocate A few years ago, in constant disagreement Walls cracking and I suffocate I turn around and look back And all I see is constant dissonance Walls cracking, and I suffocate

I’ve killed that beast, Which stalks me Hid high in the trees Eyes with baneful glee His maddening call Sends power surging In divine ecstasy I rendered it to bone This Bacchic dance–tender bloody hands Triumphantly, I raise my Bloody bounty; A vict’ry to behold “What strength” they’ll say With awe, how I Ripped its fur from flesh Draped in rust and gold This Bacchic dance–tender bloody hands The trophy in my hands, is my own tears.

A concrete maze, a silent crowd Blinding white walls and giant ads Smells of perfumes and processed foods Plastic shops selling plastic goods There’re the police ready for fun There’s the army with loaded guns Speakers blaring a tasteless soundtrack 1984 is back! Cold sweat running down your neck Your heart start pounding on your chest Waves of panic, waves of fear The outside world feeling so austere You can’t bare all this ugliness You’re all alone in your distress And so afraid to lose control when all you need is a friendly soul You need to run away From all this shit, you’re so hungry for A friendly voice to say That it’s ok, that it’s ok, that it’s ok! Is there any haven in sight? Dealing with fear is an everyday fight Catch your breath now, you're not alone To think this place is a cold bleak zone For you're not crazy, you're not cursed This city's fucked and ready to burst You'll never fit in with the crowd, And soon you'll leave it all behind... Voice hunger, voice hunger, voice hunger...
